With five runners in the top 10, including the top two finishers, the Baylor women's cross country won the Bear Twilight Invitational for a second consecutive year on Friday at the HOT Soccer Complex. The men's squad took third at the season-opening meet.

Baylor's cross country teams will open the 2013 season by hosting the annual Bear Twilight Invitational at the Heart of Texas Soccer Complex on Friday.

Baylor cross country head coach Todd Harbour announced the release of his team's 2013 schedule Thursday, which features three home meets, including the Big 12 Championships and the NCAA South Central Region Championships.

The Baylor men's and women's cross country teams earned All-Academic honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, USTFCCCA officials announced on Monday.

Baylor student-athlete Blake Niccum has been named the 2012 Big 12 Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as selected by the league's coaches. This is the inaugural year for this conference honor.
