On the final day of the Florida Relays, the Baylor track and field team was led by its 4x400-meter relays teams, which each recorded season-best times on Saturday at the James G. Pressly Stadium.

With the majority of the Baylor track and field team competing at the Florida Relays, junior Rachel Johnson stole the show by establishing a new school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Friday at the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif.

The Baylor track and field team will travel outside of Texas for the first time during its outdoor season as 47 athletes head to the 75th Pepsi Florida Relays, in Gainesville, Fla., for action on Friday and Saturday.

The honors kept rolling in for Baylor track and field freshman Trayvon Bromell on Wednesday as he was named the Big 12 Male Athlete of the Week for a second straight week, the conference office announced.

Following a record-setting weekend at the Texas Relays, Baylor track and field freshman Trayvon Bromell was named the Division I Men's National Athlete of the Week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday.

With a time of 10.01, Bromell now holds the Baylor record, the Texas Relays record, as well as sharing the world junior record with three others.
